There were two showers, one in Pittsburgh and one in Chicago.

•   The American Wedding

March 20, 2004.  In order to satisfy the Catholic Church and International laws, we actually had to be married in a service recognized by civil laws.  We had the service at a Buddhist Church which I go to and Laura attends occasionally.  The minister marrying us was made the Bishop, presiding over all the Buddhist Churches in America, the week before the service.
(By the way, there were Buddhist symbols hidden in all the wedding correspondence.  Did you see them?)
